Jim Woodbrey is Arizona’s “Democrat of the Year”
At the Arizona Democrat Party's annual Volunteer Awards Dinner on Saturday, August 2, in Flagstaff, the Pine Mountain Amphitheater provided a dramatic backdrop as volunteers were honored for their service to the party and its candidates.
"Simply put, we could not function without the efforts of our volunteers. We can never thank them enough, so we cherish opportunities like this to celebrate their accomplishments," said Don Bivens, Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party. "And, thanks to their hard work, we'll all be celebrating a bluer Arizona this November."
The Democrat of the Year award went to our own Jim Woodbrey. Jim is the First Vice President and Program Chair of the Santa Rita Area Democratic Club. He is the “go-to volunteer” for Southern Arizona. If there is something needed by the Democratic Party or its candidates, Woodbrey is on the top of the list of resources.
Statement of Purpose
This web site is devoted to the promotion of the Democratic Club of the Santa Rita Area in fostering the principles, causes and candidates of the Democratic Party among residents of the area. The Organization provides a forum for Democratic office holders and candidates to address Democrats of the Area, particularly about local concerns. Green Valley and area Democrats promote the election of Democrats in Legislative District 30, Pima County, and the State of Arizona. Voter registration, get-out-the-vote efforts, recruitment of qualified candidates, and financial support of the Democratic Party are the hallmarks of this vital and active group.
